Liverpool target, Moises Caicedo, has said that he dreams of playing in La Liga for the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid.
In an interview, the 21-year-old revealed that he would love to play for Los Blancos one day. He added further that he has always dreamt of playing for Real Madrid.
The Ecuador international was reportedly linked to a move to Anfield for the next summer. The midfielder has been on Klopp’s radar as he looks at a midfield overhaul for the next season.
The Reds identified the Brighton man as an alternative to the Dortmund midfielder, Bellingham who was a long-time target but the Reds had to pull out of the Englishman’s race.
However, MundoDeportivo have added that Caicedo is not a player who is on Madrid’s list of targets for the summer transfer window.
Would Caicedo join Liverpool or Real Madrid?
The Ecuador international said that he dreams of playing for the La Liga side.
“It was always my dream to play for Real Madrid.
Now I’m doing things very well and why not one day play there and win a Champions League with Real Madrid.”
But reports from Spain have reported that Real Madrid are not looking to sign the Brighton player for this summer.
Hence, it should not affect Liverpool’s pursuit of signing the 21-year-old.
While the Ecuadorian has done well for Brighton this season but the Los Blancos are still not convinced. That is until they are sure that he can deliver week in and week out at the elite level. In the league as well as in the UEFA Champions League.
But currently, there would be no competition whatsoever from the Los Blancos for Caicedo. However, it would be a challenge for Liverpool to sign Caicedo if they fail to qualify for Europe for the next season. Brighton have currently set the asking price to be £75 million.
