The footage from the Anfield tunnel camera showed that Gabriel Jesus waited for his Brazilian teammate, Roberto Firmino, after their clash on Sunday.
The footage shows that the Brazilian teammates even exchanged their shirts in a heartwarming moment.
The Gunners traveled to Anfield on Sunday and both teams played an entertaining 2-2 draw. Arsenal lost 2 points but still have a healthy 6 points lead over Man City and sit on the top.
The league leaders started off with 2 quick-fire goals with Martinelli and Jesus scoring in the opening half an hour. It looked like the Gunners would be leaving Merseyside with all 3 points, but the Reds came back in the second half.
Even though Mo Salah missed a penalty, he scored the first goal and inspired a comeback for the Merseysiders. Roberto Firmino then scored in the final stages to earn a draw.
However, it was after the game that the Brazilians were found exchanging shirts in what was a truly heartwarming moment. It was seen that the two also enjoyed a long chat.
Jesus and Firmino embrace off the pitch
It has been known that the 31-year-old would be leaving the club this summer. Firmino stated that ‘he would be needing a new challenge’ and hence would be looking for options elsewhere after 8 years at Anfield.
The forward has 109 goals and 79 assists in 359 appearances for the Reds. However, his major contribution was as a defensive striker. He excelled under Klopp and was one of the best defensive strikers in the world.
He has won the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and famously the Premier League in 2020. Jesus and Firmino have even started for Brazil and have won Copa America together.
Moreover, the Brazilian has been a fan favourite throughout and would surely be missed at Anfield.
