The 2023/24 Liverpool FC squad has been officially unveiled in their squad photo, capturing a moment frozen in time for both the present and future generations of fans.
The tradition of squad photos at Liverpool dates back to the 1890s, and while there have been various styles over the decades, the modern format remains consistent.
In the latest squad photo, taken at the AXA Training Centre, manager Jurgen Klopp is joined by his senior players and staff.
Notably, there have been significant changes in the lineup due to key departures.

Virgil van Dijk now sits beside the manager, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is on the opposite side, having taken on the roles of captain and vice-captain, respectively.
The squad photo also features three promising youngsters: Ben Doak, Jarell Quansah, and Conor Bradley, all expected to play a role in the upcoming season.
There’s particular optimism for Bradley’s successful return from a back injury.
Compared to the 2022/23 squad photo, there are three new faces, reflecting the ten player departures that have reshaped the team.
Klopp has expressed his affection for this new-look squad, especially after witnessing their resilience in coming from behind to win in four instances already this season.
In his pre-West Ham press conference, Klopp emphasized his deep attachment to this team, stating that his admiration for them began from the very start.
He acknowledged the team’s imperfections and areas needing improvement but expressed hope that supporters would recognize the team’s essence and its potential for growth at a club like Liverpool.
“I have said that this team is one that I love already, and I think in our opening five league games people will have been able to share that kind of feeling.
At a club like Liverpool it is not possible to just love a team at the end of its journey, it has to start when it begins.
Of course, you can see the imperfections and the things that need to improve.
You can also have moments when it isn’t as easy to believe but hopefully with this team our supporters are able to see what it is about and also the possibilities of what it could become.”
Liverpool is my Religion and Anfield is my Church. 17th May 1996 the date I had my blood coloured red. The one you love the most you can not live without it and that is football to me.
