Liverpool appears to be returning to their top form, as they have remained undefeated in the Premier League this season, winning four matches and drawing one out of their first five games.
This is a significant improvement compared to their slow start in the previous season, and much of the credit goes to their midfield reconstruction during the summer transfer window.
Liverpool invested heavily in overhauling their midfield, and the results have been impressive.
The team’s midfield has notably improved, thanks in large part to the impact of Dominik Szoboszlai, who joined the club this summer.
Szoboszlai, the 22-year-old Hungarian, has made a remarkable impression since arriving at Liverpool.
Clinton Morrison spoke highly on Dominik Szoboszlai
According to Clinton Morrison, speaking on Premier League Productions, Szoboszlai has been the standout player in the Premier League this season, surprising many with his performances.
Morrison praised the midfielder, stating that when Liverpool signed him, not many people knew much about him, but he has been outstanding in the midfield.
The 44-year-old also mentioned Odsonne Edouard as another impressive player this season.
“Which player has surprised you the most so far this season?”
Morrison was asked.
“Szoboszlai of Liverpool. The reason I say him is because when they signed him I didn’t know a lot about him, but he has been outstanding in that midfield. Edouard is a good shout as well,
He has surprised me in a good way. I think he’s a top, top player, I didn’t know he was that good, but he’s come into the midfield and adjusted straight away, a brilliant signing.”
Morrison said.
Szoboszlai – The surprise star for Liverpool in the Premier League
Szoboszlai’s impact has been surprising not just to Morrison but to the entire Premier League. His exceptional performance has made him an invaluable asset to Liverpool.
If Premier League clubs had known how good Szoboszlai would be, they would have been eager to trigger his £60 million release clause during the summer transfer window.
However, Liverpool had a relatively clear path to signing him, and it has proven to be a fantastic acquisition for the club.
