Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams is expected to leave the club in the coming weeks and Liverpool are reportedly interested in the player.
Leeds United would find it very hard to keep hold of their defensive midfielder, Tyler Adams after being relegated from the PL. As per 90min, Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Tottenham are all keen on signing the player in the coming weeks.
The American dream was crushed when Jesse Marsch was sacked back in February, while they sat 17th in the PL table. With USMNT players like Adams, Aaronson, and McKennie, the club seemed to get off to a great start.
With an opening day 3-0 victory over Chelsea, it seemed as if Leeds were showing progress under Marsch. However, things turned sour as they failed to consistently perform. Moreover, they were largely let down by defensive errors across the season, culminating in relegation.
However, with impressive performances, Adams has been in high demand by PL clubs. The USMNT captain is wanted by a number of major clubs having impressed in his maiden Premier League campaign and at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Tyler Adams: A Liverpool transfer target
The USMNT international has been a key player for Leeds even though the club were relegated to the Championship. Although he missed most of the campaign due to injury, he still ranks 4th in the league for successful tackles with 89.
However, the midfielder is too good for the Championship and he deserves to play for a Premier League club. Adams is used to playing in the Premier League and he should be able to make an immediate impact.
Moreover, under Klopp, the 24-year-old could see a huge improvement in his performance. Moreover, he could partner with Fabinho in the double pivot as well.
But other rival clubs might have an upper hand in the race as they have secured Champions League football. The likes of Man Utd and Newcastle Utd could lure the player with the UCL criteria.
