Brazilian journalist Emmanuel Luiz has shared an important update about Liverpool’s stance on the pursuit of Andre amid growing interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Fulham.

The winter transfer window can prove to be the defining moment of this season for the PL. Most of the top clubs have received their share of injury blows and will be adding some depth to their squads.

The South American market has been the focus point of these PL clubs with their season ending in December. Several players are under the radars of the English giants.

And perhaps the most talked about player right now is Fluminese midfielder Andre Trindade. His incredible performance in Copa Libertadores has brought him into the spotlight.

The Anfield giants had been the favorites to sign the 22-year-old. Recent reports, however, have created a bit of a ruckus. And while Emmanuel Luiz was asked about whether LFC has given up on signing the Brazilian international, he said,

“Not true at all. That’s the way Liverpool negotiate. They’re still in the race but Fluminense is losing their patience.”

In response to the question of which other PL clubs are going after him, Luiz commented,

“Fulham are the club that is willing to give Fluminense what they want right now. Manchester United and Arsenal want to hijack the deal.”

Speaking about the probability of Andre’s future, the Brazilian journalist said,

“André will play for one of the big six, which is what the player wants. Right now it only depends on the clubs.”

Finally, on the question about whether the Reds are assessing any chances to sign Gabriel Moscardo or Federico Redondo, Luiz responded,

“Too early to know. Liverpool are really quiet.”

Whatever the outcome might be at the end, this winter transfer window will be pretty exciting to keep a watch on.
