Liverpool are targeting to sign the 23-year-old defender, Evan N’Dicka, who would be available on a free transfer this summer.
The Reds have struggled a lot this season both in the midfield and the defensive areas. The Merseysiders have failed to build on their form from last season.
Moreover, it has been evident with this season’s performances that there is a need for signings for the midfield and defence. Although the main target for Klopp would be to rebuild his midfield, it is no doubt that he would look to bring defenders to Anfield.
This would be a perfect scenario to sign the French defender, Evan N’Dicka, who is available on a free transfer. Moreover, this would mean that Liverpool could use the funds elsewhere in signing midfielders while also securing top talent in N’Dicka.
Evan N’Dicka set to leave for free this summer
Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Frankfurt have already signed another defender to replace the departing Frenchman. Moreover, he has also confirmed that N’Dicka is set to leave the former Europa League winners this summer.
N’Dicka has been one of the top names and Liverpool certainly looks to sign him as a replacement for the departing Matip.
The defender’s market value has risen incredibly during his 5-year stint with Frankfurt. During this time he has won the Europa League and secured a Champions League spot.
The left-footed defender stands at 6’4 and is a serious threat in the air. He also played alongside the current Liverpool defender, Konate in the U21 squad.
The 23-year-old has only ever played 16 games in French competitive football having come through the ranks at Auxerre. However, he has never featured in Ligue 1.
Klopp also has his eyes on the recent Croatian star, Josko Gvardiol who is one of the most sought-after defenders right now. The 21-year-old has been a sensation with Leipzig in Bundesliga and the Champions League.
However, the Frenchman looks to be a better and cheaper alternative to Gvardiol. As things stand, it is yet to be seen whether N’Dicka would move to Liverpool or elsewhere.
