Liverpool fullback Andy Robertson will reportedly return to action in January from the dislocated shoulder injury which he received in October.
The Reds have been perfect this season in the PL and European competitions. They have only lost 1 match in the PL, which was the controversial loss against Tottenham Hotspurs.
Moreover, the only loss in UEL was against Toulouse because Klopp put together a weaker side against the French. The Merseysiders have also proven that they are playing this season to win silverware.
However, their desire could get a little hampered by the recent injuries of crucial first-team players. The Anfield giants’ injury list now includes Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, Andy Robertson, Joel Matip, Alexis Mac Allister and Diogo Jota.
LFC’s higher management has already started working on scouting players to sign in the winter transfer window with the intention of boosting the squad depth. But the latest report has suggested the club will have one of their long-time absentees by January.
Andy Robertson to return for Liverpool in January
Andy Robertson, one of the critical players of manager Jurgen Klopp’s plan, has been sidelined since October. The Scottish skipper suffered a dislocated shoulder during an international friendly against Spain.
However, latest report via the Daily Mail has mentioned the 29-year-old can return to the pitch in January. The report stated,
“Andy Robertson is on schedule to be fit to return to first-team action next month, with the pr suffered when on camp with Scotland.
The Scotsman is not yet involved in contact training but is doing running work on the grass for fitness. 0With it being a shoulder injury, Robertson could get back to general fitness work fairly early but cannot risk his arm getting clattered in a 50-50 on the training pitch.”
Mac Allister and Jota will be available for Klopp before Christmas among the aforementioned injured players. Thiago and Bajcetic will also be back by January, which means that Liverpool will have a strong squad going into the second half of the season.
