Liverpool have shown interest in Juventus wonderkid, Kenan Yildiz and as per a report it is real which have revealed that the Reds are for sure one of the teams keen on signing the midfielder.
The Reds’ links with the 18-year-old Turkey international emerged from Italy last week. It was claimed that the Merseysiders were one of the many teams interested in the attacking midfielder.
As per Calciomercato, the young forward is not completely satisfied with his role at Turin. He has featured for only 36 minutes in the Serie A in 2023/24.
And thus, the German-born is said to be dissatisfied and frustrated with his lack of minutes. Moreover, he eyes a spot in his national team’s squad for the next year’s Euros.
The teenager has 3 caps for Turkey and scored his first goal for them in a 3-2 win over Germany last month.

As per the reports, Liverpool aren’t the only ones in the race for the teenager’s signature. Other clubs, Arsenal, Dortmund and Leipzig are also monitoring Yildiz’s progress.
Meanwhile, Juventus are keen to keep the teenager, and his contract runs till 2027. However, it claims that if a serious offer came along, then the Turin club would consider it.
Juventus have set a price tag between €30-€40m for the midfielder. This could prove to be a barrier for most clubs as they would not be spending such a huge sum on a teenager this soon.
However, for Liverpool, they need to address their defensive woes as Matip has picked up a season-ending injury. The likes of Lacroix, Inacio and Beraldo have been on their wishlist for the January window.
Moreover, while talking about a new signing, the Liverpool boss shut down the rumours.
“In eight years here, I just never understand this. You always talk about transfers as if they would be the easiest thing in the world. Just bring in a player, find the money for it, as if we have endless money. I really don’t understand it. Everybody, you, the fans, everyone talks about it.
They all cost money. It has to be the right player. Tell me a club who wants to sell a top, top centre-half who could play for Liverpool? Why should we start that process? We’ve only known for a few days that Joel will be out for a long time, which is really bad for us. We still have four centre-halves which is absolutely alright.”
