Liverpool are reportedly made their first move to sign Fluminense teenager Matheus Reis, who is wanted by several Premier League clubs.
As per CalcioMercato, the Reds have asked about the 16-year-old attacker who has a release clause of £43m. Meanwhile, the youngster has been linked to a move to Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City.
Moreover, the Anfield side are also looking to sign the Fluminense midfielder, Andre Trindade. With the double swoop on cards for the Reds in January, Liverpool could be bolstering their squad handsomely.
Liverpool could sign 16-year-old Matheus Reis this January
Liverpool are looking at the South American side for reinforcements as Brazil has become the hot spot for Europe.
The youngster seemingly is in the line to becoming the next superstar. Reis was born in Mexico and could still represent them at international level.
Liverpool could secure the signature of the youngster which could be a gamble worth taking. Especially with other Premier League clubs also interested in Reis, Liverpool could act quickly and sign the Brazilian.
Moreover, the Reds are also interested in Andre and are trying to secure his signing this January. Reis is clearly a highly-rated talent with Fluminense already valuing the forward as much as £43m.
Meanwhile, for Liverpool, they must do all they could to sign the Brazilian youngster before it is too late.
But again to shell out a significant amount of money of £43m+ for a 16-year-old, it could be a risky move. Again, it could be worth taking a gamble in the long run for the Reds.
Moreover, this gamble has proved a successful method for Brighton. They have signed the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo, and Julio Enciso.
Also for a top club like Manchester City, who brought in likes of Julian Alvarez and previously Gabriel Jesus.
