Young Liverpool goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga has confirmed that he might be going out of the club on loan for this season also.
The Reds have a strong culture of signing and nurturing young talents at the club from the youth level. And manager Jurgen Klopp also believes in this philosophy.
The club has produced many greats like Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, and Steven Gerrard. And the current club vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold is also a club prodigy.
Moreover, the Merseyside Giants are also great at scouting and signing young talents around the globe.
LFC signed young Brazilian goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga in the summer of 2020 from Fluminese. He is yet to make his senior debut for the Anfield outfit.
Liverpool goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga to leave on loan
The Brazilian goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Macclesfield Town. And he might be on his way to another loan spell this season.
While speaking on the club’s official website, the youngster said,
“Going out on loan to a Football League team is one possibility.
We will see how it goes, but it is massive at my age to be playing games.
It would be a step up from last season, but I am more than ready for that.”
Pitaluga has featured in Premier League 2 for Liverpool’s youth set-up. He appeared in 29 games for the club at the competition since joining. The Brazilian had 8 clean sheets and conceded 47 goals.
He might be looking forward to joining an EFL side to improve his game.
Fellow Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker still remains the first-choice goalkeeper for the Reds at the moment. Thus, the 20-year-old still has a lot to work on himself before he can compete with the 30-year-old.
So the best way to improve himself and get more playtime and challenge will obviously be to get a loan move.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
