Liverpool FC first-team squad with their contract expiry dates & expected extensions

In the last summer’s transfer window, Liverpool have made only one major signing in the name of Ibrahima Konate. As Liverpool Board was more focused on tying down first-team players via offering them a new contract.
Defender Ibrahima Konate was signed for £36 million (€40m) from RB Leipzig, who remained to be the sole signing while the Reds made contract renewals for a series of key players.
Over the past few months, Jordan Henderson, Virgil Van Dijk, Alisson, Trent Alexander Arnold, Fabinho, and Andy Robertson have signed new contracts and extended their stay at Anfield.
Adding on to the list, Harvey Elliott, Caoimhin Kelleher, Nat Phillips, and Adrian also signed a new deal with the Merseyside club.
Meanwhile, negotiations are currently ongoing, with Salah’s current deal running out in 2023.
There is no doubt about how well the club is doing since Klopp’s arrival in October 2015. Thus, for instance, he brought an end to the long-awaited trophy drought. Much of this is down to the man-management and coaching skills of Klopp and his backroom staff.
Moreover, not to forget the remarkable recruitments overseen by Sporting Director Michael Edwards.
We at Anfield Home have taken a look at Liverpool’s first-team squad with their contract expiry dates.

‘Likely’ and ‘Unlikely’ – picks to get a new contract
There are talks with other players who have less than a year left on their existing contract while some others are heading into their final 18 months.
Players like ‘Mr. Consistent’ James Milner whose contract expires at the end of this season, is most likely to leave Liverpool next summer.
Moreover, Goalkeeper Loris Karius is also expected to leave The Reds as a free agent next summer.
Both Naby Keita and Oxlade Chamberlain are also coming to an end of their Liverpool stay as their contract expires in the summer of 2023. However, looking at their current form it looks unlikely they will receive contract renewals.
Neither of them has been a regular starter for Liverpool and have struggled with injury records throughout their journey with LFC so far.
On the other hand, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino’s situation look tricky.
They both should be given new contracts but If the Reds are to bring significant funds in by selling star players, Firmino and Mane are arguably the two most susceptible to being sacrificed, especially if Salah is retained.
There is an increasing hope that Mohamed Salah will extend his stay, even though, according to some reports, the Egyptian’s agent is demanding close to £500k per week. Thus, it will be interesting to see as to who all will get a contract extension in the near future at Liverpool football club.
