Leeds United are one of the three clubs to relegate from the Premier League season and now they will try to loan players from Liverpool and others.
Former English goalkeeper Paul Robinson has suggested that Leeds could sign new players in the summer transfer window. The Whites could be the first club in the queue to sign youngsters from top PL clubs.
A report via The Mirror on June 24 reported that Leeds have an interest in Manchester United’s Amad Diallo. The Whites board is looking at remedies to return back to the PL as soon as possible.
A possibility of a loan move has emerged as the future of Willy Gnonto and Jack Harrison at Elland Road looks almost over. Moreover, Man United will also give permission to Diallo for another loan move after an exceptional season at Sunderland.
The Ivorian appeared in 39 games across all competitions and scored 14 goals and provided 3 assists. The chances of Leeds landing the Diallo deal looks quite imminent considering their size and reputation.
Expert Paul Robinson backed it up by saying,
“That’s one thing that Leeds do have in their favour – they’re a Premier League-sized club in the Championship.
That loan market with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool willing to loan players out – Leeds are going to be at the front of the queue, so that’s something they can use to their advantage.”
Leeds United to snatch loan deals from Liverpool
However, the Whites can also go for some players from the Merseyside giants as well. The Reds have a lot of young talent at their disposal and many of them will be available for loan moves.
Anderson Arroyo, a 23-year-old right-back, will return to Anfield after a season-long loan term at Deportivo Alaves.
Another player to return to the club from loan is Fidel O’Rourke. The 21-year-old attacker has shown his abilities and qualities which are enough to prove his worth.
There are plenty of options for relegated Leeds side but they will have to be careful about every signing they make.
Liverpool could also do some serious loan business with the club to help improve the young talents. This can help the players earn their place in the first team.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
