Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that Ibrahima Konate and Darwin Nunez will be available against Wolves while Luis Diaz and Thiago Alcantara will be continuing their rehab.

The Uruguayan international has been out with a shoulder problem and the French international is out due to a thigh issue. The Merseyside giant’s manager has confirmed that both have trained normally on Monday.

Although Klopp did not confirm that either they would be available for the Premier League clash against Wolves but there is a chance for sure.

On the other hand, Luis Diaz is recovering from a knee injury and the Spaniard is working his way back from a hip problem. Both the players are still a couple of weeks away from being in contention.

Klopp on Nunez, Diaz, and other injured players

The German boss said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“Thiago is in rehab, Luis I watched half an hour of rehab session on pitch, doing shooting, moving, really good but not in team training yet. Joe Gomez is out. Ibou [Konate] trained yesterday completely normal and Darwin as well. Then we will see.”

“Darwin we have to see. It looked absolutely okay yesterday, but we have to see how he reacts.”

Diogo Jota is also back from a long-term injury. He had been sidelined since October. Klopp is delighted to find his quality striker back in the squad.

While speaking in the pre-match press conference, the Liverpool manager said

“Massive. Diogo is an exceptional player. He needs to get rhythm now. He was tired after the game on Saturday and we have to see. He will definitely be involved again if nothing happens. Top class player, versatile. Helpful for this period.”

The Reds are currently out of the FA Cup, and League Cup and on their way to an early elimination from the Champions League. Liverpool needs to act fast to restore something from this season. The battle for the Top 4 continues.
