Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has called up youngster Trent Kone-Doherty to train with the first-team ahead of Bournemouth clash.
The Interesting PL Title Race
The PL is at an interesting point where the title race will be an entertaining watch. After 20 games played so far in this season, the Anfield side leads the points table with 45 points.
Chasing them are Manchester City, who lack 2 points to match with the table-toppers with same amount of games played.
At the 3rd position, Aston Villa share the same points as the Sky Blues with an extra game played.
Arsenal are 4th with 40 points bit are still in contention to have a shout for the PL title.
Klopp Calls Up Trent Kone-Doherty to Liverpool Training
Prior to the Bournemouth match, the English giants returned to training following the PL winter break.
In one of the videos posted on the official X (Twitter) account of LFC, the whole team can be seen preparing for the weekender clash. The video contains clips of both gym and pitch training.
Prime suspects Joel Matip, Kostas Tsimikas, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic and Ben Doak were absent due to injuries.
However, on a much positive note, Andy Robertson was spotted in the video. He was in high spirits, laughing, chatting and most importantly putting in shift at gym and on ground.
But there was another surprise member present at the training, Trent Kone-Doherty. The Irish youngster joined the Reds back in the summer of 2022.
So far he has represented the U-18 and U-21 sides of the Merseysiders across all competitions scoring 14 goals and assisting thrice (stats via Transfermarkt).
The absence of senior star players like Mohamed Salah could present the opportunity of a potential PL debut to the 17-year-old. But all speculations will be answered when the match gets under way on Sunday.
