Henderson praises Simon.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson praises 32-years-old AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer for saving Christian Eriksen’s life. Henderson has told Denmark, skipper, Simon, he has

“the respect and admiration of everyone in football”.

In the Euro 2020 match between Denmark and Finland, Eriksen collapsed on the pitch after suffering a cardiac arrest. Simon was the first player to reach there to look at his teammate Eriksen.

Following the event, Liverpool former manager Bill Shankly said

“football was more important than life and death”.

Speaking about the recent match between Liverpool and AC Milan in the opening round of the Champions League. Liverpool rolled out the red carpet to give great honour to Simon and Milan at Anfield. It was a heart-warming act displayed by the Anfield crowd last night.

Every Liverpool supporter, fan and teammates praise Simon. Henderson also went on to Twitter saying

“He set new standards of leadership during Euro 2020 when Christian Eriksen fell ill”. 

“I am usually more keen to focus on my own players rather than an opponent, but tonight I must make an exception,”

Said the Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Simon has ‘the respect and admiration of everyone’ said Henderson

Henderson believes that Simon has earned a lot of respect and admiration from everyone in the world of football for what he did that night. Moreover, Simon and Denmark’s medical team had also received the President’s Award, given by the UEFA, for their encouraging act.

Henderson was impressed by Simon about how he managed everything and lead his team. Eriksen is between us and playing again just because of the medical team of Denmark and Simon. The entire footballing world is happy after seeing Eriksen back on the field again. 

Eriksen also sent a message for the fans after that incident, he says

“Big thanks for your sweet and amazing greetings and messages from all around the world. It means a lot to me and my family”.

Thereafter, the act has become a symbol of encouragement not only in the footballing world but the entire globe. Humanity above all.
