Jamie Carragher names one Liverpool player who is being missed more than Van Dijk

Jamie Carragher the Liverpool legend says the Reds are missing Darwin Nunez more than any other player in the crucial matches.
The Merseyside giants are going through injury problems. Players like Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Virgil van Dijk were all sidelined due to injuries. This has also affected their game against Brighton last weekend.
The Merseyside giants were toothless against the Seagulls. The Reds ex-player tried to explain the 19 times PL champions’ situation on a podcast.
Carragher comments on Nunez absence
While speaking on The Kopite Podcast the Premier League legend said
“On injuries, Jota is back in two weeks, van Dijk and Firmino not too long after that, Diaz is back in March, Nunez missed the last game, assuming he will be ready for Chelsea. Who out of those do you think will help us most?”
Said, Carragher.
The Liverpool legend further said:
”I think Nunez was a massive miss at Brighton. As of late we have been playing in basketball games, but against Brighton we got battered. We never looked like scoring. With Nunez, I know he missed chances, but you always feel like something is going to happen. Right now I want Nunez back as soon as possible. All of those players are important, Van Dijk of course, the attackers, we have nothing from the bench at the top-end of the pitch”.
Why Nunez is important?
The Uruguayan joined the Reds this summer with a hefty price tag and a lot of expectations. The 23-year-old has played 13 matches for the Reds, where he has scored 5 and assisted 2 goals.
Nunez is always been criticized for his drop in form from the last season. In the previous season, the Uruguayan scored 26 goals and gave 4 assists in 28 games playing for the Portuguese side Benfica.
Will Darwin be able to regain his past form while playing for the Merseyside Club?
