The Portuguese, Diogo Jota, who scored a dramatic late winner against Tottenham on Sunday is rumoured to be out for Liverpool’s clash against Fulham.

He is being monitored ahead of Wednesday night’s game after sustaining a further knock after coming off the bench versus Spurs.

The game was destined to end as a stalemate after a 93rd-minute goal from Richarlison. However, the Portuguese took advantage of Lucas Moura’s loose pass to score the winner. Anfield witnessed one of the games of the season as both sides battled out for the 5th spot.

The Reds dethroned Spurs from the 5th spot after defeating them and are now 7 points off of 4th place Man Utd.

Diogo Jota to miss Fulham clash

Jurgen Klopp has said that the Liverpool number 20 would be a doubt in their clash against Marco Silva’s side.

“In our situation Bobby is out and Diogo struggles.

He got, in the West Ham game, a knock in the back, a bruised rib, could not train before the [Tottenham] game but could play without an injection or whatever, but got another knock immediately when he came on.

You might have seen the celebrations of Diogo, he was sitting down pretty slowly. He didn’t train since then so that is one that is a doubt… he is a doubt at least but I hope he can recover until tomorrow night.”

The German also told the press that the Brazilian, Firmino, and Naby Keita would miss the PL clash. Also, on the general condition of his squad, Klopp spoke about their fitness levels for the game.

“Bobby [is] training, he looks good, not ready for the game, but is doing more and more so [we are] waiting for him in team training again. Pretty much the same for Naby.

I think that’s it pretty much. Of course the long-term injuries, they are not involved.”
