‘When Liverpool signed him’: Ian Wright says Liverpool now have a player who’s better than Vinicius Jr

Former England international Ian Wright has vocalized his opinion and said that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is a better player than Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr.

The world football is heavily dependent on attacking and scoring goals. As a result, the best players who are dominating the game are attackers, especially wingers.

The undoubted ‘GOATs’ of the game in recent times, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both are wingers. Although Cristiano has eventually shifted to more of a central role in recent times, primarily he is a goal-scoring winger.

And one of the brightest stars of this generation is Kylian Mbappe, who is also a winger. Meanwhile, two of the most promising wingers for the last few years, definitely have been Mohamed Salah and Vinicius Jr.

Thus, Ian Wright has expressed his opinion in this regard and it is quite interesting.

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is better than Vinicius Jr

When the former England international was asked about who is better between Mohamed Salah and Vinicius Jr, Wright said to Five,

“Yeah, I think if you go for anything other than Mo with what Mo has done. What you have to say about Mo is that when Liverpool signed him from Roma you were a bit like ‘Mo Salah?’ But he hasn’t looked back. That man has just got in the fast lane and still has his foot on the pedal. That’s why these people are offering crazy money. I’m going to say Mo Salah for what he has done,”

No doubt Vinicius Jr. is a good attacker with great attributes. He even helped Real Madrid win the 2021-22 Champions League with his goal against the Merseyside giants.

But in comparison to the ‘Egyptian King’, the Brazilian is not better on an individual level yet. Salah has been a better player individually since joining the Reds.

The star Anfield winger was an important piece of the legendary attacking trio of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, and Mohamed Salah trio.

Thereafter, both of them left the 31-year-old and thus, he has now become the main man of the Merseyside offense. So it is very clear that Salah is superior to Vinicius Jr.

Consistency speaks for itself.

“Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Running down the wing.

Mo Salah la-la-la la-ahh, The Egyptian King!”
