‘Definitely’: Liverpool now want to sign £17m attacker who’s even faster than Vinicius Jr – journalist

Liverpool made significant moves in the summer transfer window by signing promising young talents from the Bundesliga like Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai.

The latest name linked with a potential move to Liverpool is Maximilian Beier from Hoffenheim, a 21-year-old German attacker who has been making a name for himself in the Bundesliga.

According to Christian Falk’s report on Substack, Liverpool has shown interest in Beier, and he is on their radar.

Beier’s market value is around €20 million (£17 million), making him a reasonably affordable target for Liverpool.

Christian Falk on Maximilian Beier

Falk highlighted some of Beier’s attributes, including his exceptional speed, which has reached 35.45 km/h this season, making him one of the fastest German players, second only to Leroy Sane.

Beier is versatile and can play as a striker or on the wings, which aligns with Liverpool’s need for rotation options in the forward line.

Liverpool legend makes title race prediction after VAR horror show

“Another name on Liverpool’s list is Maximilian Beier of Hoffenheim – I heard he’s definitely on the list, as he brings something that’s very interesting for Liverpool! His high speed this season was 35.45 km/h. It’s also really good for Germany; he’s the second-fastest German player behind Leroy Sane. His contract at Hoffenheim runs until 2025 and I heard he has a release clause; he’ll be a little bit more expensive for English clubs but for German clubs he’ll only cost €20m. So you see, Liverpool are looking around at the Bundesliga again.

“He’s a player you can educate, fast, can play as a striker as well as on the wings, which would be beneficial for Liverpool’s rotations in the forward line. I think he’s interesting. He could be the next German national player, perhaps not in the coming matches, but he’ll be in the national team. He’s not very expensive, which would fit into Liverpool’s business model. Keep in mind, though, that Brentford and Everton’s interest in the player is concrete.

However, it’s worth noting that other Premier League clubs like Brentford and Everton have also expressed interest in signing Beier.

Liverpool loves Pace

Liverpool have a history of thriving with pacey attackers in their lineup, with players like Mo Salah, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, and Sadio Mane using their speed to break down opposing defenses.

Beier’s agility and quickness could make him a valuable addition to Liverpool’s attacking options under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
