The current Bundesliga top scorer Serhou Guirassy shared a photo of himself watching Liverpool last night as they beat Toulouse 5-1 in the Europa League fixture.
The Guinean has been remarkable this season and has been one of the stories of the season in the whole of Europe.
The 27-year-old has 14 goals in just 8 league games in the German top flight. This is a remarkable stat as he leads the European goal-scoring chart.
He cheered for his former teammate and captain Wataru Endo last night. Endo scored against the French side yesterday in Liverpool’s 5-1 win in Europe.
While sharing a video of the Japanese international’s headed goal, Guirassy wrote:
“I learned how to score from you, my friend.”
Guirassy cheering for Liverpool and loving Endo’s goal
The 27-year-old has taken Europe by storm. Also, there is no doubt that he will be targeted by big clubs very soon.
Although many might not believe what he had to say about Endo, the Japanese does have a decent goal-scoring record.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who captained Stuttgart last season, scored five times from midfield. This stat is not bad compared to Guirassy’s 11 goals in the same season.
While comparing him with Fabinho at Liverpool, this season he is mimicking the Brazilian so far. While Fabinho also scored 5 times in the 2021/22 season, two of those were penalties.
However, across the other two of the last three seasons, the Brazilian hadn’t scored at all.
Moreover, in 219 games for the Reds, the Brazilian scored 11 times. Meanwhile, Endo scored 14 goals for Stuttgart in over 111 appearances.
This should suggest that the midfielder could chip in with a few important goals for Liverpool this season.
Although his job is not primarily focused on scoring goals, there is no denying that they would prove to be a difference in some games. Moreover, the forward line for the Reds is stacked right now.
Darwin Nunez, Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo are all Klopp’s forwards right now.
As for Guirassy, he is really one to watch this year. And with his current form, there would be a lot of big clubs wanting the signature soon.
