Mohamed Salah was seen stumbling slowly down the tunnel after Liverpool‘s FA Cup loss to Brighton yesterday.

According to the Echo, concerns that surfaced after Sunday’s game at Amex Stadium’s final whistle may indicate that the Reds have an even more significant problem on their hands.

Salah strolled down the tunnel after losing to Brighton

Salah led the way, followed by Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones, as they took a leisurely stroll down the tunnel. Following closely behind came Keita, Fabinho, Thiago, and Konate, swiftly followed by the rest of the Merseyside team.

As they stumbled toward the door, the group had a somewhat dejected and uninspired appearance.

They did not appear to be a recently eliminated group from the FA Cup. Moreover, this is the competition they won last year.

In addition, you would hardly have known this was the Liverpool club that had just suffered its ninth defeat of a terrible season.

It seemed that the outcome didn’t even hurt all that much.

Moreover, this is an unexpected response from a Jurgen Klopp-led team.

The 30-year-old missed Liverpool’s finest opportunity of the contest after Harvey Elliott put a superbly weighted pass through to him.

Salah’s performance this year in a Reds jersey has perhaps been his least impressive to date.

Despite scoring seven goals in six Champions League games this season, he has only managed to do so in 19 Premier League games.

This may reasonably be interpreted as a hiccup in the Egyptian’s performance, indicating that he is now experiencing a goal-scoring slump. However, his performance on the field hasn’t been up to par with his typical caliber.

He doesn’t seem to pose much of a danger on the right wing. Moreover, he rarely participates in build-up play.

Salah and the current difficult period that Liverpool are going through go hand in hand.

The Liverpool star will be relied upon by Klopp to lead his team out of this mess. So, maybe he can return to his customary form soon.
