Report: Jurgen Klopp now personally wants Liverpool to sign 26-year-old on free transfer

Jurgen Klopp wants Liverpool to sign the Leicester City star midfielder, Youri Tielemans who is available on a free transfer this summer.
It has been reported that the Belgian international is on the radar of Liverpool who are in search of a midfielder for the next season. The Leicester man is out of contract this summer and it would be a perfect signing for Klopp.
As per the sources, the German is an admirer of the 26-year-old. Also, he has pushed Liverpool to sign the player for the next season. With the boss personally wanting to bring Tielemans, the Reds could go for the player.
Many reports have claimed that Liverpool have had a long-term interest in the Belgian. It is the versatility of Tielemans that has impressed the Reds.
The German “feels that the versatile Belgian can cover a number of midfield positions and will do so at a relatively low cost”, according to the report.
Klopp wants Tielemans at Liverpool
The Belgian is one of the long-time targets for the German boss and is admired for his versatility. Moreover, the fact that the midfielder is available for free is an added bonus.
He has been extremely brilliant for the Foxes and helped his side win the FA Cup. He scored the only goal in the finals when he let fly from 25 yards in the 63rd minute in front of 21,000 fans at Wembley.
Tielemans became the first Leicester player to score in an FA Cup final since Ken Keyworth in 1963 as he ended the club’s FA Cup final hoodoo.
He has played as center, left, right, attacking, and defensive midfielder, also, he has played as a left-back in his career. This experience could certainly help the Reds and he would be a quality signing.
As for Tielemans, it would be a step up in his career as he would be competing for titles with Klopp. Moreover, the Foxes are not in great form and that could be a catalyst in his move to Liverpool.
If Liverpool are to qualify for the Champions League, Tielemans would surely be intrigued to join Liverpool.
