Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips who is reported to be one of the transfer targets of Liverpool this summer has no intentions of leaving.

The Reds are keen on signing a defensive midfielder before the end of this transfer window as they are running short of options and time as well.

Pep Guardiola on Kalvin Phillips

“Kalvin still needs a bit of rhythm in short spaces,’

We miss the best of Kalvin, it’s a reason why he doesn’t have a lot of minutes.

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has explained why Kalvin Phillips is not a part of the first-team and is not being used quite often.

However, the former Leeds United player does not want to leave Manchester City as he is comfortable and has no plans to leave them.

After last season, it is clear that Pep does not consider him good enough for the main team.

Despite this treatment at the club, Phillips does not want to leave as he has been at Etihad for a short period of time.

Phillips, according to the Daily Mail’s transfer exclusive newsletter, has no intention of leaving City for Liverpool or anyone else. Instead, the England player is thought to be content to stay. Despite the fact that City are open to both a sale and a loan deal for him.

In the summer of 2022, the PL Champions paid £45 million for the Phillips. He hasn’t appeared much after that.

If a proposal comes in before Friday, Phillips may still be forced to make a decision, especially if it is from another great club like Liverpool.

The addition of Wataru Endo is likely to benefit the Reds, but there is still a gap in the midfield at Anfield. Now, it remains to be seen what happens on the deadline day.
