Injury update: Thiago Alcantara set to return for full training

A very good News for LFC as injury update on Thiago Alcantara revealed that he will return to full training after the international break. This also means that the Spaniard will be available for the Champions League tie against Inter Milan.

Thiago reportedly earns 225,000 a week and is a world-class midfielder. It is a huge matter of frustration that he does not remain fit at times. He is one of Liverpool’s biggest names to winning games at the moment.

This season, whenever Thiago has featured for the Reds, they have ended up winning that game. But when he is unavailable, the former Premier League champions have struggled to find that creative touch. Therefore, it has been a strange case this season. He definitely is an important member of the Liverpool squad and can play a crucial part in their success.

Meanwhile, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson’s form seems to be a sign of concern for the Reds at the moment. Thus, Liverpool are looking for someone who can provide them with a creative touch in the final third. This is one of the reasons why Klopp’s side has struggled against the team that sits deep for defending. A recent instance can be the first leg of the EFL Cup semifinals, where Liverpool failed to break the deadlock against 10-men Arsenal.

Injury update on Thiago as he returns to first team training soon

Focusing more on Liverpool’s midfield story, Jurgen Klopp would surely use Fabinho, Henderson and Thiago provided all are fit. This also drives our attention to Naby Keita, who is their best midfield option available on the bench. This keeps the competitive spirit alive within the team.

Liverpool’s midfield trio has been so fabulous that even if one of them is below par, they still manage to pull out victories. The Premier League race is not yet over for the Reds. If they manage to keep Thiago fit who has won 11 league titles, they can touch Manchester City before the season end.

This is not going to be easy though. Liverpool needs to display a disciplined brand of football in order to catch up with the top spot. If they manage to grab points in the big games especially, that will help them close the gap with the leaders.

The Citizens might drop points at some stage. But the Reds must be at their best to be on an incredible run if they want to keep the title race alive. While Thiago’s return to full training will surely be a major boost for Klopp & co.
