Werder Bremen are growing impatient and concerned regarding Naby Keita who left Liverpool this summer on a free transfer to the German side.
The Anfield giants did a lot of offloading to accommodate an extensive midfield rebuild. And in this process, they lost many midfielders for free and some to the Saudi Pro League.
Perhaps the least influential player the Reds lost in this process was Naby Keita. Although he was bought by the Reds from RB Leipzig back in 2018 for €60M.
Injuries had been one of the important factors why Keita’s career did not work out at Anfield.
The Guinean midfielder only managed to appear 129 times within the span of 5 whole seasons. He scored 11 goals and assisted 7 in that time.
And all the fans were hoping that his second spell in Germany would have been different and exciting than his time at LFC.
However, after the move to Germany, it has not quite worked out for the midfielder.
Werder Bremen is not happy with Naby Keita
The Ex-Liverpool midfielder picked up an early injury in the pre-season. He was supposed to recover from it by the end of this season. But he made a speedy recovery and got back to fitness.
However, soon after this, he suffered another thigh muscle injury leading to ‘the next setback’.
This means the midfielder will be again out of action for weeks. The German club signed him considering him ‘great hope’ despite his past injury record.
And according to a new report via German media outlet BILD, the 28-year-old is ‘becoming a problem’ for the Bremen side. The report has even marked the midfielder as ‘too prone to injury’.
Liverpool fans are sending him best wishes so that he recovers soon and makes a comeback worth talking proving his worth.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
