Liverpool star, Mo Salah has been offered a huge paycheque to play for Al-Ittihad but the player’s agent has dismissed the speculation.
Salah has emerged as a target for Al-Ittihad, who are reportedly prepared to pay the Egypt international 180m euros (£155m) over a two-year deal.
Al-Ittihad have already signed Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema and Chelsea hero N’Golo Kante this summer. They are said to be ready to test Liverpool’s resolve with a £52m bid.
However, Salah’s agent insists his client ‘remains committed’ to Liverpool for the next season. Moreover, he insisted that he wouldn’t have signed a contract extension this time last year if he was considering a move away from Anfield.
Mo Salah: The next target after Fabinho and Henderson from Liverpool?
The Egyptian winger has been a sensation for Klopp ever since his move from AS Roma. He has been instrumental in all the titles Liverpool won in the last 3-4 seasons.
He has been the Golden Boot winner in his first two seasons and has been Liverpool’s top scorer ever since signing for them.
This shows how important of a player he’s for Klopp and they would by no means be ready to let him leave.
However, the Saudi clubs have been signing players who we thought would never leave the European grand stage.
The likes of Benzema, Savic, Neves, and more have been some of the superstars of the modern game.
They’ve also been crucial players for their respective clubs in recent years. Hence it is a good thing that Salah’s agent gave an open clarification.
This would keep the Reds’ faithful at ease, especially after the exits of Henderson and Fabinho. They could now count on the winger to be prepared for the new PL season.
Moreover, with new signings impressing in the pre-season, there is a whole lot of excitement among the fans.
However, there are also reports of new midfielders being targeted by Klopp who could join the Reds. The likes of Lavia, Andre, and Gravenberch are said to be on their radar.
If that is to happen, the Reds would have a great squad to go and compete in every competition.
