Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has wowed the Scottish media with his performance for Scotland and gained praise from them.
Andy Robertson became an important member of the Merseysiders shortly after joining the team back in 2017 from Hull City.
He also became the captain of his national team in 2018. And since then he has featured in almost every game for the Scottish national team.
Meanwhile, recently the LFC defender made an appearance for his national team in Euro 2024 qualifying round against Cyprus on Friday.
Robertson played a more attacking role at left-midfielder position as the Scottish team played a 3-4-2-1 formation. This was done to accommodate Kieran Tierney as a centre-back in the back 3.

The Tartan Terriers won the match with a 3-0 scoreline. And the 29-year-old played the whole 90 minutes.
The Reds player played three key passes, completed 89.7% of passes, won one header, took 76 touches, made one tackle, one interception, and two clearances, and put in seven crosses (stats via WhoScored).
The latest report via GlasgowLive has rated his performance at 8 out of 10. The report noted,
“Good cross for the opener. Having a player who continues to excel in both a great Liverpool side and this resurgent Scotland team can only be of huge benefit on and off the pitch.”
Another report via The Scotsman has given Robertson 7 out of 10. The report stated,
“The Scotland captain was largely able to turn down the dial on his tearing down the left flank after one of his first such forays led to him delivering the cross from which for Steve Clarke’s men struck in the early minutes.”
It was Scotland’s fifth successive win and now they only need 2 points from 3 qualifier matches to secure a spot in the Euro 2024 championship.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
