Premier League duo Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a move for Juventus and Italian forward Federico Chiesa in 2024.
The Italian has been linked to a move to the Premier League for a while now, and the Reds were also rumoured to have been interested. More recently, though, Tottenham have been showing interest in the Italian. Newcastle United was also in the news as being linked to the player.
Liverpool looking to sign Chiesa in 2024
As per TuttoJuve, Juventus are fearing for the future of Chiesa as we approach Euro 2024. It is reported that Chiesa has yet to sign a new contract with Juventus. Hence, Liverpool and Spurs are keeping a keen eye on the situation.
Moreover, it is suggested that if Chiesa performs well for Italy in the 2024 Euros, bids would come for the player. Meanwhile, an offer of around £70m would be enough to sign the player.
Chiesa’s current deal with the Turin club runs till 2025, and Juve is pushing to extend his contract. He has been lauded as a ‘superstar’ in Italy as he starred for them in the Euro 2020 and won the competition.
Meanwhile, Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has been rumoured to leave the club at the end of this season. He has been linked to a move to Saudi for a record fee of around £150m. Hence, Chiesa could be a decent replacement for the Egyptian.
He did prove himself in the previous Euros as he was the talisman in Italy’s victory. Moreover, the fact that Juventus are trying desperately to keep him tells us how important he is at the club.
Youthful and exceptionally dynamic, he possesses the potential to become a formidable force in the Premier League, showcasing an ideal alignment with Klopp’s strategic approach.
