There are some concerns rising about the Liverpool team, who are in the news before their final match in the FA Cup against Chelsea.

Liverpool have already met Chelsea in the FA Cup final back in 2012 where the Blues defeated the Reds by a small margin of 2-1 due to the courtesy of Ramires and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Moreover, Chelsea have made history and became the first club to play in the FA Cup finals consecutively for the third time after Arsenal. The Blues have played in 2 consecutive FA Cup finals in their previous 2 seasons. However, Chelsea have previously lost both finals and will try to avoid becoming the 1st side since Newcastle in 1998-99 to lose in 3 successive final appearances.

Also, this will be the 15th time Liverpool will play their FA Cup final compared to Chelsea who are 1 ahead and will play their 16th final this season.

Liverpool team news before they play their final against Chelsea

Liverpool have already faced Chelsea 3 times this season and this final will be the fourth game between these 2 teams.

The Merseyside club have the upper hand over Chelsea as they have beaten the Blues once in the EFL Cup final and both games in the Premier League have been a draw.

Liverpool had a decent night yesterday at Villa Park against Aston Villa as they made a comeback in the 65th minute and kept their chances for the league as they won the away game.

However, in doing so, they also got their midfield player Fabinho injured who only played half an hour and was replaced by Jordan Henderson in the 30th minute after suffering a hamstring injury.

Therefore, Liverpool and the Kops are anticipating Fabinho getting fit before Saturday as he plays an essential role in the midfield.

With the repeat match between these two teams after 10 years, Liverpool will look forward to winning the FA Cup and again winning both of England’s domestic cups in the same season after 2000-01.
