This was the first time that Liverpool have had a player red-carded in back-to-back in Premier League games since 2015. This left Jurgen Klopp’s side with a huge mountain to climb at St James’s Park.

The Uruguayan’s Winning strike was the 42nd Premier League goal scored by Liverpool in the 90th minute or later. This is the most by any team in the competition’s history.
Moreover, the German boss also enjoyed a record-breaking day after beating Newcastle. He got his 13th consecutive Premier League victory against Eddie Howe.
