Liverpool are making a late move to snatch Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada, who is on the verge of joining AC Milan.

The 26-year-old Japanese attacking midfielder has impressed in recent seasons, particularly during the FIFA World Cup 2022 and throughout the 2022/23 season with Eintracht Frankfurt, contributing to 23 goals in 46 matches.

While Kamada has already agreed verbally to join AC Milan, Liverpool are not giving up and are preparing a final push to secure his services. AC Milan have been at the forefront of the race to sign Kamada and have essentially finalized a four-year contract worth around €3 million per season.

However, Liverpool sees an opportunity to lure the talented midfielder to Anfield by offering him better wages and taking advantage of his availability on a free transfer. The Reds are in need of multiple midfield signings to revitalize their squad, and acquiring Kamada for free would allow them to allocate resources elsewhere.

Kamada’s Future: The Rossoneri or The Reds?

Despite Kamada’s apparent preference for AC Milan, there are reports suggesting that the deal is not completely finalized. Milan are eager to secure his signature promptly, but Liverpool and other clubs remain hopeful of persuading him to reconsider.

While it remains uncertain, Milan have designated Monday and Tuesday next week as crucial days for finalizing the transfer. The Italian club are keeping an eye on Liverpool’s potential move, although it appears that Kamada has already set his sights on joining Milan.

Kamada: A Potential Game-Changer for Liverpool?

From Liverpool’s perspective, their interest in Kamada appears genuine, considering his impressive performances in the Bundesliga. However, some pundits question where he would fit in Liverpool’s lineup, as they do not typically employ an attacking midfielder like him.

Nonetheless, the Reds recognize his quality and the opportunity to sign him as a free agent, but they are also focused on pursuing other priorities. If Liverpool manages to secure Kamada’s services, they would gain a talented midfielder who can contribute goals and creativity to their squad.

As they aim to bounce back from a disappointing season, acquiring players of Kamada’s caliber could help in closing the gap with the leaders at the top of the table. Signing him on a free transfer would be a smart move for Liverpool, allowing them to strengthen other areas of their squad as well.

Ultimately, Liverpool’s pursuit of Kamada faces strong competition from AC Milan, and while the deal seems close to being finalized, there is still a glimmer of hope for Liverpool to secure the midfielder’s signature.
