Liverpool and Tottenham can now acquire Milan Skriniar for under £20 million.

Liverpool and Tottenham may have the opportunity to acquire Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan in a £17.5 million deal.

Skriniar has chosen not to sign a new contract with Milan. And the club will now try to cash in this month, according to sources from Italy today. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, PSG is reportedly one of the most interested parties in Skriniar, who Inter are reportedly trying to sell.

Milan Skriniar could leave Milan this January

However, Liverpool and Tottenham will be aware of any prospective Skriniar departure. The Slovakian star has drawn interest from both of the PL teams. A few weeks ago, 90Min asserted that Liverpool had even made inquiries about signing him.

Meanwhile, Tottenham has long been a supporter. And recent rumors said Skriniar was waiting to see whether Antonio Conte’s team made an approach.

Skriniar has been one of Italy’s top defenders in recent years and was praised for a “monumental” performance last season.

Now that trade at a discount is possible, Spurs and Liverpool may consider making proposals. Skriniar’s value has significantly decreased from Inter’s previous estimate of him at more than £60 million.

Skriniar probably won’t be useful when Liverpool’s defenders are fully healthy. But now that Van Dijk is out and the team is having trouble, he could change things up.

Skriniar is a bit of a no-brainer for Tottenham. They require new players who can strengthen the starting XI.

Skriniar does that, thus, Inter must pursue it if they demand less than £20 million, the price Liverpool spent for Dejan Lovren in 2014. Naturally, PSG has the ability to pay well. However, teams like Spurs must make an effort to move when a player like Skriniar is up for grabs.
