Journalist Dominic King has high hopes for young Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch. He said the Dutchman will become a great player when he gets used to EPL.
The extensive midfield rebuild over the summer is paying off for the Reds this season as they are currently in fine form.
The club won the game against LASK in UEL, coming fresh from the draw against Manchester City.
In both matches, the midfield had a silent yet significant role to play. The addition of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch has not gone down the drain at all.
And the young midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has gotten some praise from experts.
Dominic King praises Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch
The journalist wrote on his own Twitter (X) handle and explained how the Dutch international can become a great player. He wrote,
“When Ryan Gravenberch gets properly up to the speed with English football and physically adjusted to how Liverpool play over 90 minutes, he’s going to be some player.
It’s not all there yet – he’s just had blast from Jurgen Klopp – but you can tell it’s going to arrive.”
The 21-year-old midfielder rose through the youth ranks of Dutch giants Ajax. From 2019, he has been recognized as one of Europe’s most promising future icons.
And in 2022, German giants Bayern Munich signed the talent from Ajax at €18.5M. But as he was a signing under coach Julian Nagelsmann, Thomas Tuchel did not want him anymore after the former got sacked.
So after spending the latter half of the 2022-23 season on the Bavarians bench, Gravenberch joined LFC this summer for €40M. And one of the most exciting signings of this season considering his age and technical abilities.
Standing at 6 ft 3 inches, the Dutchman is a threat both on the ground and in the air. His speed, dribbling and ball recovery senses are quite laudable.
So it is safe to say that the youngster will continue to develop into an even better player under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
