Jurgen Klopp‘s decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season has seemingly energized the team, with two victories and nine goals scored in the two matches played since the announcement.
However, this development has not come without its concerns, as rumours circulate about the potential departures of senior players and the impact on recent signings.
Amidst the uncertainty, Dominik Szoboszlai‘s agent, Matyas Esterhazy, addressed the situation, acknowledging Klopp’s significant role in the Hungarian player’s move to Liverpool.
Esterhazy expressed some regret on behalf of Szoboszlai but emphasized that it would not affect the player’s future at the club.
“Jurgen played a big role in Dominik now playing for Liverpool. He has learned some serious things from him that will serve as a very important guide for him later in his life. But that’s football, and you have to live with it.”
Said Esterhazy (Via NB1).
Speaking at the collection of Szoboszlai’s award for Hungarian Footballer of the Year 2023, Esterhazy reassured Liverpool supporters, stating that while Klopp’s departure might create initial difficulties, it would eventually become clearer as the club moves forward.
He also expressed anticipation for the emotions the players will experience in the second half of the season.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Klopp’s successor, Esterhazy and Szoboszlai seem committed to a future with Liverpool.
The agent mentioned the normal interest in discovering the new manager, emphasizing that there is no indication that Szoboszlai or any other Liverpool player is seeking an exit.
Klopp’s departure undoubtedly leaves a void, considering his instrumental role in attracting the current squad to Anfield.
The immediate future may hold uncertainties, but optimism remains for Liverpool’s long-term prospects once a new manager is appointed.
Liverpool is my Religion and Anfield is my Church. 17th May 1996 the date I had my blood coloured red. The one you love the most you can not live without it and that is football to me.
