The Reds have not been able to secure any deal till now, but they are biding their time. However, several loaned-out players have returned to the club on a positive note.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Hull City owner Acun Ilicali said,
“It’s almost done. The announcement has to be done, that’s all. The club will do it.
So many clubs wanted him and he chose us. It’s because of the way we are playing the game. Liam Rosenior has a big effect on that, playing nice football.
He wants to go to a place where he will enjoy football. Hull is the best place for him to improve his talents.
We are a fantastic club with fantastic players and a fantastic coach. Everything is so good here.”
The Portuguese midfielder joined the Anfield side from Fulham in the summer of 2022. Although he had a few good games for the club, somehow, things did not work out well for him.
The 21-year-old accumulated 638 minutes for LFC, appearing in 21 matches across all competitions. He also netted 3 goals in his time at the Merseyside.
But he was sent on a loan to RB Leipzig at the start of the season, where he secured 360 minutes of action across 15 appearances (stats via Transfermarkt).
The move to Hull City will be a chance to get acclimatized to English football again and potentially secure his place on Jurgen Klopp‘s side.
