Hull City manager Liam Rosenior has lauded 21-year-old Liverpool loanee Tyler Morton for his performance in a 4-1 victory against Rotherham.
The Merseysiders are good at doing business and at serving young players with loan opportunities for development. And the club has been efficient in doing so.
Some of the young players who have been out on loan this season are Calvin Ramsey, Fabio Carvalho, Rhys Williams, Sepp van den Berg, and many more. But the player who has been making headlines this season is Tyler Morton.
The 21-year-old has moved to Hull City this summer on a season-long loan deal. And his performance there has been nothing short of exciting.
Hull City manager lauds Liverpool loanee Tyler Morton
The England U-21 international scored the opening goal in the match against Rotherham United on Tuesday.
And in post-game quotes via wearehullcity.co.uk, Rosenior claimed that the Liverpool youngster ‘can do everything’ in the midfield. He stated,
“Some of his play, honestly. He can do everything as a midfield player. When we were recruiting in the summer, he fits completely into the way we want to play.
The beauty with Tyler is he can play deep and he can be just as effective there, but what we’ve seen in training is he can create and score goals.
It was about fitting the functionality of the team around him. He was outstanding.”
This should be encouraging for the young midfielder who had a decent season with Blackburn Rovers last term. Even there, he had a good start to the season but faded off towards the end.
And Morton has started this season in a similar fashion with 2 goals and 2 assists in just 12 appearances.
He will also be looking forward to maintaining this form and finishing the season with good performances.
Also, this will be a crucial time for his career at 21 as he had expressed his interest in securing a place in Jurgen Klopp’s senior Reds squad.
The German manager likes him so if he performs well this season, he could possibly get some regular playtime for Liverpool in the next season.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
