Liverpool needs a new midfielder, and everybody knows this, including Dortmund, who slapped a heavy sticker price on Jude Bellingham.

This has forced the Reds to look elsewhere. Thus, Liverpool will be having a busy transfer window this summer.

As per the Sport Mediaset which FC Inter News relays, Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella has been added to the Liverpool transfer list.

They state that the Premier League side would be ‘betting strongly’ on the former Cagliari starlet. However, Liverpool would have to make a super offer of around €85m to convince the Serie A side to sell.

Despite the possibility of a substantial salary increase, Barella has stated that a move to Liverpool “does not appeal at all” to him.

The Italian prodigy also insisted that he has no intention whatsoever of leaving his current club.

Liverpool not giving up on star Inter Milan midfielder signing

The 25-year-old midfielder has been a key player for Inter Milan for a while now. His impressive performances have caught the attention of the Premier League giants.

The Reds are in desperate need of central midfield reinforcements and Barella would be a quality long-term acquisition.

Barella has proven his quality in the Italian league and internationally with Italy. He will add some much-needed craft and technical ability in the middle of the park for Jurgen Klopp next season.

The Euro Champion certainly has the quality to succeed in the Premier League. Therefore, the Reds must do everything in their power to convince him.

Inter Milan are going through some financial difficulties. So, the Italian Giants may be tempted to sell the central midfielder for a substantial offer.

The reported €85 million offer is likely to be a tempting proposition for the Italian club. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can turn the player’s head with a lucrative contract offer.

Liverpool certainly have the finances to offer Barella more money than he earns at Inter Milan.
