Journalist Dean Jones hints that Liverpool can still sign Palhinha from Fulham after signing Wataru Endo from VfB Stuttgart.
The Merseysiders have quite successfully executed most of their midfield rebuild this week. The club signed two of the most exciting talents in Europe at the beginning of the transfer window.
Liverpool signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai for around £95M. But since then it all had been quite dry for the Reds although they were linked with many players.
But the good news came in earlier this week when quite surprisingly the club signed Wataru Endo. And this gave the club a much-needed boost.
However, the Anfield giants can still benefit from another signing. And journalist has predicted that the fourth one might come soon.
Dean Jones thinks Liverpool can sign Palhinha
According to Dean Jones, the Reds might land the Palhinha deal. While speaking on Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, he said,
“I’m not going to rule out that they’re going to go for Palhinha, because I know that they definitely looked at him in the past and they do like him, but yeah, you can’t land Palhinha for even £50m, but they still have money to spend, they had £111m to spend on Caicedo and they’ve just done £20m on Endo, they have £80m to spend on Palhinha. If they want to spend £80m on Palhinha we’ll have to just take it because I’m sure the player would be into it, but I don’t see it.”
The 28-year-old will prove to be a valuable addition to this team. The Portuguese midfielder is a Premier League-certified player.
His main attributes are positional defending, strong midfield holding, and hard tackling. Palhinha is also good at passing and long-range shooting.
He had the highest number of tackles in PL in the 2022-23 season. So his signing will prove to be quite useful for the Men in Red.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
