Torino are now reportedly open to selling Perr Schuurs for as little as £17m, with Liverpool linked with the defender throughout this summer.
According to Football London, the Serie A side could begin negotiations to sell the Dutch centre-back at a bargain £17m.
Liverpool have been admirers of the player but they aren’t alone. Arsenal, Crystal Palace, and Tottenham have also shown interest in signing the left-sided centre-back.
Liverpool could go for Perr Schuurs after all?
Midfield has been the topic of discussion for the Reds this summer, with the need for a CB still in hindsight. A defender would be equally important, if not more, for the Reds this season.
Moreover, Schuurs could be the perfect fit for Klopp and his side. He has established himself as one of the best defenders in Serie A with Torino.
The 23-year-old only joined the Italian outfit last summer from Ajax for roughly £7.7 million. But he has greatly impressed in Italy which has prompted links to England’s top flight.
Also, the Italian club are willing to sell their best defender for a mere £17m. This could be a bargain signing for the Reds if they are to make a move for him.
Also, considering the price for the 6ft 3in defender isn’t some crazy record fee of 100 million, he is one to watch.
With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Liverpool have little to no time and need to make their move soon.
The defender ticks every box for Klopp- strong, athletic, and excellent on the ball. He could partner with his international teammate, Van Dijk at Anfield.
A deal might be too good to be true for Liverpool, yet the Reds must now do all they can to try and sign Schuurs before the end of the window next week.
If Torino sells Perr Schuurs this summer they will almost definitely make a profit having signed him for just £7.7M.
