‘We are in contact’: Player’s Agent Confirms About Liverpool Links for Winter Transfer

Liverpool are in contact with Slovakian defender Dávid Hancko for a winter transfer as confirmed by his agent Branislav Jasurek.

The dull situation in the winter transfer window for the Reds is a growing concern for the fans. The team most definitely needs to work on several departments in their pursuit of 20th PL title glory.

The defense being the heart of the much-needed work done, the Anfield giant should focus on signing a new defender amid growing injury concerns.

Even though the club is yet to sign any new player, the Merseysiders have been linked with many players regarding transfer.

Furthermore, one of the latest updates has sparked a ray of hope within the fans.

Liverpool in Direct Contact with Dávid Hancko

While speaking to TN (via The Mirror), Branislav Jasurek, the player’s agent has shared that LFC are interested in Hancko.

“As an agency, we are in contact not only with these two clubs (Liverpool and PSG), but also with others who are looking into David’s situation.

I estimate that, 80 to 90 percent, David will stay in Rotterdam, because Feyenoord is fighting for the Champions League and the people at Feyenoord know that David Hancko will be sold even in the summer. It would have to be one of the big clubs.

He will certainly not go from Feyenoord, which is going to play in the Champions League, to a club that will play in the bottom half of the Premier League.”

The 26-year-old joined the Dutch side from Czech side Sparta Prague back in the summer of 2022. Appearing in 18 Eredivisie games so far this season, the defender averages 1.1 tackles and 0.7 interceptions (stats via WhoScored).

The Feyenoord centre-back is currently on the radar of French giants PSG as well. So the Reds have to beat competition from Luis Henrique’s side to sign the player.

Hancko could prove to be a great signing considering the fact that he is left-footed. Liverpool will be able to return in perfect shape with his addition.
