Scotland and Liverpool have both faced a double blow of injuries within a short time. The unfortunate news of promising young player Ben Doak being sidelined due to an injury during the international break was disheartening.
The Scottish FA announced that both Ben Doak and Dire Mebude would miss Tuesday night’s match due to injuries.
Scotland’s national team, led by Steve Clarke, is scheduled to face France in a friendly match before returning to domestic football action.
Fortunately, they have already secured their qualification for the European Championship in 2024.
For Liverpool, this injury to Ben Doak comes as a disappointment, and there’s hope that the injury isn’t too severe.
The 17-year-old had shown remarkable performances in pre-season and throughout the current season.
He was expected to play a role in Liverpool’s upcoming fixtures, such as the Europa League group stage match against Toulouse and the Carabao Cup clash with Bournemouth at the beginning of November.
Additionally, Liverpool fans are anxiously waiting for news on the extent of Andy Robertson’s shoulder injury, which he sustained during a match against Spain.
Hopefully, positive updates on both Ben Doak’s and Andy Robertson’s injuries will be provided by the club in the near future.
Liverpool is my Religion and Anfield is my Church. 17th May 1996 the date I had my blood coloured red. The one you love the most you can not live without it and that is football to me.
