Latest Liverpool signing Ryan Gravenberch was left awestruck after hearing the famous YNWA chant at Anfield this Sunday.
The Merseysiders secured a good start to the season after drawing their opening game and winning three consecutive games.
The latest victory came against Aston Villa on Sunday at Anfield with a comfortable 3-0 scoreline.
Summer signing Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring and an own goal by Matty Cash made it 2-0. While Mohamed Salah finished off the scoring with a goal from a flicked header from Darwin Nunez.
However, the Reds’ new signing Ryan Gravenberch was also present at the game even though he couldn’t play. He still had some paperwork to do so he witnessed the victory from the stands.
Ryan Gravenberch of Liverpool had an amazing reaction to the YNWA chant
The Dutch midfielder on Sunday felt what it is like to be present at Anfield. In a video of the Inside Anfield series on LFC’s official YouTube channel, the club shared some unseen footage of the game.
And it contained a clip that perfectly captured the reaction of Gravenberch to the iconic anthem of the Merseysiders.
The Kopites sang ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ prior to the kick-off to which Gravenberch nodded in approval. Then he looked up towards the fans passionately singing the song.
He soaked all of it in ahead of the first majestic debut in front of the massive fanbase of the club. He could not but just be wowed by one of the most inspiring chants in football.
The 21-year-old has not joined the Dutch U-21 national team as he chose to settle down in the new environment.
He will be training at the AXA training center throughout this international break to make sure that he makes his debut in the Reds’ outfit.
But the minute he sets foot on the pitch, he will just remember the amount of passion, support, and love this fanbase has to give him to move forward.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
