The Reds’ most trusted attacker Roberto Firmino is set to leave Liverpool. The player has informed LFC’s head coach Jurgen Klopp that he will be leaving the club as a free agent in the summer.

The Brazilian forward has been with the Merseyside giants since he joined them in a £29M deal from Hoffenheim in June 2015.

Roberto Firmino – One of the best Number 9’s for Liverpool

The 31-year-old has been exceptional for the English giants. Moreover, Liverpool’s no. 9 has won everything in the Red shirt. He has helped the Merseyside giants to win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and also the Club World Cup during his spell at Anfield.

Bobby has always been a fan favorite and Klopp adores him for his dedication and off-the-ball movement. He has made 353 appearances for the Premier League side where he scored 107 goals and dished out around 70 assists.

Despite having multiple attacking options like Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, Mo Salah, and Luis Diaz, the Red’s boss always wanted the Brazilian to stay with the club for as long as possible.

Bobby’s decision

But it’s the 31-year-old who decided not to continue with the Merseyside giants. According to Sky Sports he will leave the club as a free agent in the summer.

Bobby has been part of Liverpool’s iconic striking trio, alongside Mo Salah and Sadio Mane. Together they helped the Reds to lift their first English league title in 30 years in the 2019-20 season.

Last year Mane left the Merseyside giants to join the German giants Bayern Munich and after this season Bobby is leaving the Reds. This only leaves Mo Salah in the squad from that iconic trio.

Firmino has decided to move on and this leaves the Reds in a tricky position. Should they reinforce the players in an attacking position or look for more important positions like midfield and defense?
