Report: ‘Incredible’ 21-year-old is now returning to Liverpool, Klopp will take him in the first-team

According to rumors, Rhys Williams will go back to Liverpool and take the position of an experienced player. Blackpool has been home to the 21-year-old. But, it is about time he returns.

In terms of options, Klopp is gifted with a young one as Williams is set to return to Merseyside. Reports claim a senior player is set to depart. And Williams is set to arrive in Anfield soon.

Liverpool recalls Williams from Blackpool

This month, Liverpool will bring up Rhys Williams from his loan at Blackpool. Williams has been there since the summer, but a space in Liverpool’s first-team roster will shortly become available. Nat Phillips is expected to depart the Reds this week and is expected to receive firm offers.

Additionally, Virgil van Dijk‘s injury necessitates cover for Liverpool. Williams may anticipate competition for spots if the 25-year-old Phillips is ultimately allowed to go to the first-team of football. The last time Phillips played was in the FA Cup against Wolves. Williams will probably try to receive minutes in this matchup, and the Reds play Brighton in the Fourth Round.

William’s potential to add value to the squad

We know Liverpool is a big fan of Williams. The youngster has demonstrated that he can compete in the Premier League, earning Jurgen Klopp’s praise for his performances in the past. Williams still has a lot of promise despite being only 21 years old. He has decent experience for a center-back his age, especially at the highest level, and is now a solid fourth option.

Naturally, when Van Dijk comes back, that drops to the fifth position. Williams will hopefully continue to play a significant part in the team until that time, which we hope is not too far off.

The Liverpool proposal is thus a good one. Williams can manage his responsibilities successfully, and we estimate that Phillips will earn roughly £10 million. Although it won’t exactly prompt a move for Jude Bellingham or Enzo Fernández, it’s still worthwhile to cash in on the 25-year-old as soon as feasible.

Up to the conclusion of the season, when he will have to make another significant choice regarding his future, Williams can undoubtedly contribute.
