Former Arsenal player, Fabrice Muamba has said that Jurgen Klopp would make a number of changes to his squad against Arsenal.
Speaking in his recent YouTube video, the pundit said that Klopp would bring in a number of key players back into the squad, after resting them midweek.
The German boss had made 6 changes to his starting XI in the goalless draw against Chelsea. The likes of Trent, Robertson, Salah, and Gakpo were all left out.
Many speculated that it was done on purpose keeping Arsenal in mind. Also, Van Dijk was left out of the squad due to illness.
Moreover, Fabrice Muamba, who has been previewing the big game, has tipped Trent and Robertson to be in the starting XI.
“I expect a lot of changes” – Fabrice Muamba
Also, the pundit has stated that Mo Salah would surely return to the squad after being rested against the Blues. Moreover, Klopp has confirmed that Van Dijk would surely be available against Arsenal. The ex-Arsenal man also said that he expects the Dutchman to be in the squad.
“He didn’t play Van Dijk, he played Matip with Joe Gomez and Konate and Tsimikas at the back. On Sunday do you think Klopp will go back to Trent and Andy Robertson and Virgil Van Dijk at the back? I think he will go for that. I expect a lot of changes, and I expect Mo Salah to play,”
Furthermore, Salah may have missed the crucial clash against Chelsea in midweek, but it makes all the sense for him to return to the side against Arsenal.
Even though the Egyptian has not been in his best form for Liverpool this season, he still has 12 goals and 7 assists in 28 games for Liverpool. Moreover, there’s a reason Salah is called a ‘very special’ player by Klopp. He has been one of the best wingers in the world for a few seasons now.
He would be a threat no doubt and with Arsenal not winning at Anfield for nearly 11 years, it would be an interesting watch.
