Liverpool fans have been given a subtle hint by their French midfield target, Khephren Thuram, and his agent as she has sparked speculation about the player’s future.
Thuram’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta posted an image on her Instagram handle of her being at Nice headquarters. This image has fuelled speculations and has caused quite a stir among the Reds’ faithful.
As the summer transfer window swings open, Liverpool’s interest in the French sensation has been closely monitored. With the recent successful acquisition of Alexis Mac Allister for £35 million, the Merseyside club has shown they are in the market for talent.
Reports have suggested that the player and the Reds have agreed personal terms for a potential transfer. However, both clubs are yet to agree upon a formal fee for the same. The French club is demanding around £50 million.
The 22-year-old has also been linked to the likes of PSG and Newcastle, both of whom would be playing in the Champions League, unlike Liverpool. However, if we consider the minutes that the player might get, Liverpool would come out to be the clear favourites.

Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate expressed his enthusiasm for Thuram’s potential move to the club. He is a Frenchman himself and refers to Thuram as his ‘little brother’, while speaking to RMC Sport.
“I would be very happy for him [Thuram] to come to Liverpool and I would take him under my wing and I would do everything for him to progress and become the player he wants to become.
Khephren is like my little brother, he’s someone I saw growing up. I saw him perform and progress at a level, it was incredible.”

With the recent developments, it seems we may soon see Khephren Thuram add his dynamism to the Liverpool midfield. Meanwhile, if the transfer goes ahead, it could be a significant coup for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
