Liverpool scouts have been impressed after Feyenoord midfielder, Quinten Timber in action and his brother plays for Arsenal, who just signed this summer.
The Dutchman’s twin brother Jurrien Timber signed for Arsenal and has been sidelined by a long-term injury.
However, his twin brother has started the season well for Feyenoord in the Dutch League. He has bagged one goal and three assists in 7 Eredivisie games.
As per 90min, this has caught the attention of top teams from across Europe One of them happens to be the Merseyside Reds, Liverpool.
Liverpool impressed by Quinten Timber
The Reds are said to be one of the teams who have filed favourable reports on Timber. These developments are said to have occurred after their scouts travelled to watch him play.
Besides the Reds, Arsenal are also one of the sides claimed to have shown interest in the 22-year-old.
A few of the other clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are also being linked to the Dutchman.
With the former Premier League champions scouting another midfielder It only makes sense that it would be to replace Thiago.
The Spaniard has been rumoured to be leaving Anfield this summer and a backup for him is required.
If not it would make no sense to go for another midfielder, especially after signing four midfielders this summer.
But a January move for Timber would make sense if Klopp is looking to replace Thiago. This would give the youngster ample time to settle into the German’s system.
However, many might feel that the Reds now need to focus on bolstering their defence. Although they have started their new season well, there have been concerns over a few defensive errors.
Hence, a closer look at Feyenoord’s Slovakian centre-half, David Hancko could be a good fit for the Merseyside club.
Being left-footed, a great long-range passer and just 25, he could be just what Klopp might be looking for. Hence, he is worth looking at along with Timber.
