Paul Robinson has encouraged Liverpool to make a January transfer bid for Toni Kroos.

The former goalkeeper sat down with Football Insider and commented on the latest speculations linking Toni Kroos to Liverpool. Paul has encouraged the Reds to pursue the Real Madrid star.

Robinson insisted that he is the type of player the club urgently need and believes it will be a fantastic deal for the Reds.

Toni Kroos joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2014. The German was a key player in Los Blanco’s 2014 European success and has become the central figure at the Spanish capital.

The 31-year-old has since then established himself as one of the best midfielders and has created a fearsome alliance with Modric and Casemiro.

Kroos has 22 goals and 80 assists in 323 appearances. The German maestro has won 4 Champions League and 2 La Liga titles and is an indispensable player for the Los Blancos side.

However, recent reports have emerged stating that Kroos has fallen off the pecking order at Madrid. The Los Blancos are looking to offload the German international for a cut price.

Injuries have hit hard in Kirby, especially for midfielders. Moreover, the club is yet to replace its former midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

Therefore, the club is in search of a new midfielder and Paul has backed the Reds to sign the German.

Sources indicate that the player is available in the region of £20 million and Reds are tipped to sign the player.

While Liverpool may face tough competition from both Manchester clubs, who were also linked with Kroos in the past.

Nevertheless, the Reds are in a pole position to sign the player. The midfielder will be a great addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side. Thus, Liverpool could strengthen their squad depth by signing Kroos.
