Lee Carsley updates on Liverpool youth Curtis Jones injury

Liverpool young gun Curtis Jones is under the radar of an injury. The England U21 manager is reluctant on allowing him to play. Lee Carsley is unsure whether Curtis Jones will be available to start against Andorra.

If there is any doubt about his recovery, he will be left out to recover. The Reds play Watford next weekend away in the Premier League. Keeping that in mind, the manager has been thoughtful with his decision.

Curtis Jones has stepped into his second season for Liverpool’s first-team consecutively. He has been impressive and that is the reason why he has Klopp’s trust. Jones now has a crucial role in the main team as other players are down with injuries.

Thus, the Scouser has stepped up and has been sensational for The Reds. The 20-year-old midfielder has contributed vitally by scoring and providing three assists. He has done so across six games in all competitions so far this season.

Liverpool fans worried about Curtis Jones

Liverpool fans were given a new worry last week because Curtis Jones was left out of the England U21 team. He missed the tie against Slovenia. The news was on his injury although no information about the severity of his injury was provided.

Lee Carsley, England’s U21 manager has finally given a little more clear idea as to what happened. He spoke in the press conference regarding the severity of the injury ahead of the match against Andorra. The England U21 manger says:

“We are waiting to see how he reacts this morning. He will be treated again”.

“We definitely will not take any risks after the game. We cannot put the players at risk of missing out on their games for the weekend. So we will examine Curtis this morning and confirm that decision later”.    

He added saying that Jones had sustained a groin injury while training with the international team. However, the good news is that he could possibly be called up for the Andorra clash.
